Project Overview
Think Beyond the Screen: Designing the User Experience is a scenario-based learning experience for beginning UX/UI designers. The project is built around one central idea: a screen is not an isolated object - every design decision occurs within a connected experience. The current version extends those scenarios with AI-powered conversation so learners can explain and question decisions in their own words.
Challenge
The challenge is to design scenarios that give learners more freedom than during traditional branching, to reason through a UX problem while keeping the conversation focused enough to teach.
Design Approach
The experience moves from structured UX scenarios into selected open-response moments. Instead of choosing A, B, or C, learners explain what they would do and why. The AI can question assumptions, introduce stakeholder concerns, and prompt learners to consider the wider user flow and effects.
Outcome
In Progress. The project is exploring whether AI conversation simulation can expand scenario practice when the learning goal is judgment, reasoning, and communication.
