Project Elevate
Kirkpatrick Evaluation Plan
Project Overview
Working with AIMC taught me that an LMS transition is never just about software. Project Elevate is a Kirkpatrick-based evaluation plan connecting faculty Canvas LMS training to measurable changes in online course quality and student experience. The goal was to look beyond training completion and determine whether the learning was making a difference.
Challenge
AIMC needed more than completion data. They needed evidence at every level: whether faculty valued the training, whether they learned new Canvas skills, whether their online teaching changed, and whether those changes affected student satisfaction and enrollment.
Design Approach
I used the Kirkpatrick Model to structure the evaluation across reaction, learning, behavior, and results. For skill assessment, I designed scenario-based Canvas simulations that asked faculty to demonstrate practical LMS skills. Change management also shaped the plan, connecting each level of evaluation to why the training mattered.
Outcome
The project supports two audiences at once: faculty who need confidence with online teaching workflows and administrators who need clearer evidence of what's actually changing. Based on feedback, I updated the assessment timing, clarified learner tasks, and strengthened the feedback structure.
